First Days of Primary School

The determination, faith, and unparallel commitment and passion to restore Multi to its glorious days was finally coming to fruition. Tuesday, the 15th of September 2020, was no ordinary day- history was being created. The impossible was happening. The city of Riyadh was finally seeing the gates of Adhwaa Multinational Academy open to the students!

Each of the teachers in the Primary school experienced an overwhelming series of emotions ranging from excitement, joy, optimism, and confidence to nervousness and apprehension as we saw the first students walk through the gates. Yet in the midst of all this, the Primary teachers were all prepared to embark on a most exciting journey, aware that they would lead the children on many roads of discovery and learning.

The smart boards, the desks, and chairs in the classrooms, the primary section corridors, the welcome boards, all seemed to echo the enthusiasm in the voices of the teachers as they consciously established routines, reinforced positive behavior, generated interest and enthusiasm among the students by hinting at exciting new topics they planned for later in the week and engaged the students in meaningful interactive academic activities.

Our ethos at the Primary school is best explained in the quote by Benjamin Franklin:

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”
